Why this
niche?
I discovered a channel that has some very interesting topics and is doing extremely well, but the content/format that this channel produces is extremely boring and bad. I believe that if you take these topics and create a much better format for those videos, they have a good chance of going viral. I will dive deeper into this at the competition video analyses and in lets create your video

Competition ANALYSIS
These channels are showing potential for this niche.
Important note
The video analyses in video 1 has almost nothing to do with what I would recommend you to do because I believe a different format for these topics would perform far better. This channel uses a typical "data format" in which they simply showcase data from in this case rappers, but it's extremely boring to watch and the videos are short. So what I would suggest is to create a story based on the data shown on this channel, but in the format used by the channel KickFlix. They're doing it with football, but I want you to look at the format they're using. So on the second video, I'll analyze one of their videos to show you what you need to take over from their format.

00:00
Intro
This is a simple, strong intro because the voice over indicates what the video is about and gets straight to the point. This intro is fine for this format.
00:00
Background music
In any niche, finding the right background music is very important. The people who click on these videos will most likely listen to rap music as well. So always choose a beat that links to the hiphop/rap scene.
Don'ts
00:08
Boring format
After 8 seconds, the video begins and the voice-over ends. And that is precisely the point I mentioned in the important note. This entire video is made up of pictures and a swipe effect and is extremely boring to watch. If you include a voice over that transforms this into an interesting story, the viewer is far more likely to continue watching the video. So, how are you going to improve this? I would recommend watching video 2 where I analyzed a channel in a different niche but with a great format to implement in this niche.

Note
As I mentioned in the important note and in the video 1 analysis, I'm analyzing a video from a different channel because I believe you should take the competition channel's topics and create videos in the format that this channel does. This channel is performing insanely well in the football niche, mostly because of the format they use.
00:00
Great intro
Their intro is just calling the title of the video, that's it. Like I'm metioning in almost every analyses, people want to get what they clicked for as quick as possible otherwise they leave. The biggest drop of people leaving is in the first 5 seconds and by doing this you're giving people straight away where they clicked for.
00:04
Making statements
This sentence is so amazing because it raises so many questions, which will keep people watching their video to find out what the answer is to this statement. This sentence/statement could almost be a video title, and they make these (I call them, mini titles) all the time in their video's.
00:24
Amazing trick
Remember, at 00:04, they made a big statement that triggered the viewer's interest because they wanted to know what the answer to that "mini title" was. But now they've used another brilliant trick to trigger more interest in this video. They showed some pretty impressive stuff from 00:04 to 00:24 because not many people can afford that, but they empowered everything they showed in those 20 seconds and said that what's coming is even more shocking. This will pique the viewer's interest even more because they want to see what's even more shocking. They repeat this trick all the time, but with slight variations. Amazing trick
00:41
Same trick as on 00:24
They used the same trick as at 00:24 and again almost 20 seconds later. If you do this every 20 seconds and keep delivering, you can keep people watching for forever.
00:59
Showing real footage
Great to show some emotion and showcase that the story is real.
01:04
Referring back to 00:04
They did this earlier, but they keep referring to the statement they made at 00:04. This builds trust in your video and shows that you are not clickbaiting.
01:04
Same trick as 00:24 + bridging
They repeated the 00:24 trick, but this time they added a bridge to the next story. Normal top ten videos move from 10 to 1 and mention this every time they move to the next number/story. For example: Number 9, Cristiano Ronaldo's Ferrari. [story starts]. What happens when you do this is you'll give people time to decide whether they want to watch the next story or leave. The last thing you want is that people are reflecting on your video, you want them to become addicted to it and not think about anything else. And by building a bridge, you create a strong transition because people are either unaware of it or have already moved on to the next story. So they have no time to reflect on your video.
Format
This is basically what they do throughout the entire video, over and over again from story to story. If you master this format, you're unbeatable.
Don'ts
Nothing
What they're doing gets five stars from me and is the best of the best.

❌ Too much focus points
This thumbnail is too chaotic. This is something that appears in almost every niche, but that doesn't make it any less important. If you use more than three focus points, the thumbnail will look like this and you won't know where to focus on.
Rap Data
Used thumbnail 2
❌ Wrong thumbnail style
I'd choose another style for this thumbnail. In order to limit the chaos in the thumbnail, just like the first one, I would choose to place 3 rappers side by side where the last rapper is blurred. For example, how long the rapper spent in prison:
2 MONTHS | 1 YEAR | LIFE SENTENCE
If you blur the last photo in combination with the longest prison sentence, this raises a lot of questions by the viewer. They're very likely to click on the thumbnail because they're curious who that last rapper is and why he's been stuck for so long.
Here is a layout example from the football niche:

❌ Not triggering enough
What I would do here is choose a rapper, such as Jay Z, next to Rihanna on the right with a heart or something in the middle. Then select a triggering text, such as FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS! so that the thumbnail will trigger a lot more.

Revenue analysis
LIke I mentioned before, there is so much to improve in this niche, and even with this boring format, they still have 630k views per month. Think about what this niche could achieve with better thumbnails and video.

How do I find topics?
What I would recommend is that you enter the algorithm from this niche and then look for topics that the competition has taken. I've already done this for you to see if there were enough topics, and as you can see from the list below, there were plenty of them. And if one of these topics becomes popular, simply make a part 2, 3, or 4 because there are so many famous rappers.
Topic example list:
- Rappers that have been in prison and why
- Gang signs from the rappers
- Rappers and their addictions
- How rappers passed away
- Rappers that are in prison now, why and for how long
- Rappers that hate each other
- Rappers favorite video games
- Famous rappers favorite drinks
- Rapper records (numbers) that will never be broken
- Rappers most expensive cars
- Rappers and their last pictures or videos before they died
- Rappers who had plastic surgery
- What phobia rappers have
- Rappers who have been banned to other countries
- Rappers best friends
- Rappers before they were famous
- Rappers religions
- Famous rappers and their break through songs
- Rappers mama baby nick names
- Famous rappers shoes collaborations
- Rappers and their gangs
- Famous rappers wives
- Famous rappers first jobs
- How rappers got their names
- Rap lyrcis that didn’t age well
I also found a lot of topic ideas in the football data niche. Because these audiences have a lot in common, you can use the same strategy I mentioned above to find topics.
Topic
I chose to go for famous rapper addictions because that topic performed great on the competition channel and I could think of a great thumbnail for that.

The idea
I looked at the competition thumbnail they used for this topic and wondered what it was that triggered this audience because the thumbnail looked bad to me but the video still had 700K+ views. And one thing drew my attention: they included the extremely addicted drink, Lean. Because many rappers have died because of this drink, it is well known in the rap game. Also, it is very normal in the rap world to be tough and using drugs or alcohol is not something that people will be surprised about. So I think that's the reason this thumbnail worked because it's something that people are not familiar with and that triggers.
The picture
I looked for one of the most famous rappers and someone who you wouldn't expect to drink lean, so I went with Drake. Then I looked for a picture of him being caught by typing "Drake got caught" into Google.

Edits
So I did a few things to make this picture stand out more:
- With Photoshop AI I added a purple drink in his hands because that's how Lean looks
- With the text "GOT CAUGHT", you have a perfect clickbait balance. I'm not saying he's drinking Lean, I'm just saying he was caught with a purple drink.
- Then some brightening edits and a red arrow draw the audience's attention to where to look.
AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience like?
The unexpected
I saw a lot of comments where they talk more substantially about the video, but I also saw a certain pattern. And that's that people like the unexpected. Something they would not expect from a rapper. Also to mention as an example, the owner of the channel asked if the audience had any inspiration for next topics. There I found a reaction in which someone said: "gay rappers, heroin addiction etc." So this target group is looking for some taboo's or secrets of rappers or certain things you't expect so from rappers. I think that's exactly the thing why this channel works so well, because the topics are the same. They like the unexpected because when you say in a video that Snoopdog is addicted to weed, then, of course, people don't think it's anything special and they let you know about it immediately in the comments.
AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience not like?
Mistakes
The target audience does not like mistakes and as soon as they notice they will let you know in the comments.
