Diabetes

Why this
niche?
In this niche, I found a channel that started just 3 months ago and is already getting over 1.8 million views per month. The content is simple to create, and there’s still plenty of room for improvement. Besides, the competition channel follows a clear pattern that once you understand it, there's huge potential to tap into those views. So if you're interested in a channel about diabetes, this one is for you.

This is fine, but it can be better...
It's not the most triggering, and I do think it could’ve been stronger. But creating a sense of recognition for the viewer is a smart move because it makes them stick around just a bit longer. What they do well next is spark curiosity by raising a question: "But they don't go into details about how much nutrients matter for diabetics'. So this intro is fine, but I think we can trigger the viewer better by saying something like this:
Example 1: What if everything you’ve been told about diabetes... is missing the most important part? It’s not just about sugar. It’s not just about meds. What if there’s something else... And no one’s talking about it?
Example 2: You’ve heard it a million times: cut back on sugar, take your meds, follow the rules... But no one’s telling diabetics how much nutrients actually matter, and it could change everything.
Example 3: You’ve been following the rules. Eating right. Taking the meds. But your numbers aren’t getting better. Here’s what your doctor probably never mentioned, and why it matters more than you think.
You could also start with a clip showing two people debating diabetes or having an intense discussion. Let that play for a few seconds, then transition into the intro examples mentioned above.

Asking questions to your audience
Asking these kinds of questions helps viewers relate, especially if they’re dealing with diabetes or similar health issues. It creates empathy and builds a connection, which is key to keeping them engaged. They do the same thing in the intro, and like I said earlier, it's a solid move to keep using throughout the video.

Boring video editing
I think it’s pretty clear that this just isn’t the best video quality. Don’t get me wrong, your script and how the story is told are far more important than video editing, but there's definitely room for improvement here. The spokesperson looks really fake, and they mostly just show the subtitles with some icons on the left side. On one hand, this is good because it shows that even with such poor video editing, it can still work. But imagine what could happen if you added a few more photos and clips to make the video more interesting to watch. Besides that, I think it's a good idea to keep the subtitles since this audience is likely older.

Don’t do this until you’ve given your audience the value they're looking for
I would never ask viewers to subscribe before delivering the value they clicked for, and that’s exactly what this competition channel does. The reason I wouldn’t do this is that the chances of someone subscribing at that moment are very low. Plus, let's be honest, you only subscribe to a channel if you like the content, so it's better to focus on providing that. If you still want to do it, do it at the end of the video, or better yet: just don’t do it at all.

Typical top 10 strategy
This is a typical ‘top 10’ style video, where they go through each case one by one, usually saying things like 'Number 2' to move on to the next. Now, this isn’t wrong, but I think there's a better way to do it. Instead of using numbers for each case, try making the whole video flow like one story. You can use some hooks like these:
- ‘But if you think that’s it, you're wrong because... introduce next case’
- ‘This is nothing compared to what I’m about to tell you next... introduce next case’
By adding hooks like this, your audience won’t even notice when they move to the next case. This keeps them hooked for longer, and your AVD will probably get better results.

✅ Great thumbnail, but...
This thumbnail is triggering, raises curiosity, and has a good design. It's definitely one I'd use if I were starting my own channel in this niche. But the text here is just too long. I would definitely use a maximum of 3-4 words for the text if you have 2 focus points, because otherwise, there’s a high chance people won’t read it. What I’d do in this niche is mention the vitamin on the thumbnail, and it’s best to choose a vitamin everyone knows or already takes daily to create some FOMO.

Revenue analysis
The RPM in this niche will probably be around 3-6 if you make videos around 20 minutes just like the competition does.

How to find topics?
When looking for topics in this niche, it’s important to study the competition closely. Which topics are performing well and which ones aren’t? If we take a look at the three most popular videos, a clear pattern stands out: one specific topic consistently brings in the highest views.
1. Top 3 Vitamins Every Diabetic Should Take
2. Top 3 Minerals Every Diabetic Must Take
3. Top 3 Vitamins Every Diabetic Must Take
Do you see the pattern? The 3 most popular videos have almost the same title and are all about vitamins or minerals. This clearly means you should keep going in this direction, because we’re simply seeing confirmation that it works. Another thing that works well is the following:
• Best Foods for Diabetic
• Morning Habits for Diabetic
• Best Fruits
• Best vegetables
YouTube: On YouTube, I found another channel that started only a month ago and is already getting the views.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQiPYk1WlxVxbMTDCGJv4GQ
Google: On Google, you can found a lot of articles about vitamins/supplements vs diabetic.
• https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/diabetes-vitamins#supplements
• https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/blood-sugar-supplements#cinnamon
ChatGPT: With ChatGPT, you can also generate a lot of topic inspiration or even have your scripts written, if you know how to use it. Of course, you don’t want a typical 'Wikipedia-style' script, as I always say. You want to make your video better than the competition, so you have to avoid making it feel like it was written by AI. Use a strong, triggering intro, include lots of hooks, and make sure your transitions are the reason your audience continues watching, just like I explained during the video analysis. But if you know how to create a good script with Chat, then this is definitely possible in this niche.
Topic:
To come up with my own topic in this niche, I started searching on Google for articles about vitamins vs. diabetes, because we already have the confirmation that this works. But while I was doing that, I came across another topic, one that talks about which supplements you should actually avoid if you have diabetes. And I think this could be a perfect way to create FOMO. Plus, it still ties into the topic that performs well: supplements and vitamins vs diabetes. So this is definitely something I'd try out.

How to create your thumbnail?
First, I saved a thumbnail of the competition and asked chatGPT if he could create another vitamin bottle but more realistic and this is what came out:

Photoshop
Then, I continued to Photoshop and added the text Don't take this vitamin to raise some questions. I also added some red details to make the thumbnail stand out even more.

In the end I added ared arrow to create even more focus on the vitamins label and this will be your end result:
