So, if you’re into cars then this niche could be the perfect fit for you.

This is fine, but could be better
'Think your automatic car is built to handle anything? Think again..'
This intro is fine, and starting your script with a sentence like this is absolutely okay. But if you ask me, I’d take it a step further to trigger the audience even more. Think about this: what would really grab their attention? In my opinion, it would be something relatable or a habit that automatic car users do every day, one that turns out to be wrong. For example: "Do you also put your car in ‘P’ when parking? Be careful, because this could be the most dangerous thing you’re doing." (This is just an example to illustrate what I mean.) I think if you start your script with something like this, it creates a more shocking effect and a sense of FOMO. That said, if you choose to stick with the approach used by the competition, that’s fine too. But I’d personally go a bit deeper to make it nearly impossible for the viewer not to keep watching

This is not bad, but...
I understand what they're trying to create, and I don't think this is a bad thing, as long as you give them also actually the value they're searching for in the video. If you do that, then chances are that they will stick till the end because you said this. But most important is that you create a lot of triggering hooks in the video itself because you can tell them in your script to stick around, but they’ll only do so if the content is engaging enough to keep their interest.

Nice background music
I like the background music they chose for this niche. It adds a thrilling vibe and makes the topic even more exciting to watch.

This editing is fine
The editing is definitely not bad at all. They use nice subtitles to create extra focus points now and then, along with nice effects, small animations, and real footage. It’s definitely something to take an example from to send to your editor.

Typical top 10 strategy
They're using a typical top 10 strategy here, and that's exactly what I'd never do in my own videos. Why? Because if you give people a number of cases, you actually give them time to think if they want to watch the next case as well. To be honest, that's exactly what you don't want to create because instead of giving them time to think, it's better to don't give them that time and already be in the next case by giving them a triggering hook so they keep watching. A channel that does this very well is KickFlix. Just take a loot at one of their videos and see for yourself if you can recognize the transitions to the next case. I'd always apply this style over a typical top 10 video, because if you ask me, this method is much better because you give the viewer actually a reason to continue watching.

Boring Wikipedia script
The script isn’t bad, but there’s definitely room for improvement. As I watched the video, it started to feel a bit boring the longer it went on. Like I mentioned earlier, this is largely due to the lack of engaging hooks and transitions, but the script itself could use some work too. It’s told in a very general way, almost like the narrator is reading out a Wikipedia article. For this audience, you can make a much bigger impact by making the script a bit more personal. If you combine that with stronger hooks, you’ll see it transform into a much more engaging video.

This works, but...
If you want to go with this style in this niche, we have clear proof that it works. But if you ask me, I’d do it differently. Personally, this thumbnail style doesn’t suit me, and there are too many focus points. For example, the text feels like two separate focus areas because of the yellow and purple colors, even though it’s meant to be one message. On top of that, there’s a red car, a blue background, and an arrow, which makes it feel a bit chaotic. Instead, I’d simplify the text to something like "IT'S A DISASTER." I also think this thumbnail comes across as a bit too fake. I’m not saying it won’t work at all, but in general, more realistic thumbnails tend to perform better. You can stick with the competition’s style if you want, but if you’re looking to create something new in this niche, I’ll show you what I’d do for a thumbnail in the How to Create Your Thumbnail section.

How to find topics?
To find topics in this niche, we need to take a look at the pattern that's clearly visible on our competition channel. Because if we take a look at their most popular videos then we can clearly see what works.
• Things You Should Never Do In An Automatic Car (Big Mistake)
• 17 Least Reliable Cars That Won't Even Last 40,000 Miles (Unbelievable)
• 17 WORST Cars That NO ONE Buys According to Consumer Reports
• Top 13 Cars That Simply Never Break Down | Most Reliable Cars Ever
Do you see the pattern? Cars that perform badly actually do well here, but so do cars that perform really well. It’s all about the extremes that can trigger this target audience. This can spark questions like, Is their car included? or What about a car they might have their eye on? Or maybe they’re just curious because they’re car enthusiasts.

Topic:
To create my own topic in this niche, I started by looking for an article about a car that didn’t perform well in tests. I also noticed that thumbnails featuring the Range Rover tend to attract a lot of attention. This shows that more expensive cars catch people’s interest, so I decided to focus on a higher-end car instead of a standard model.

How to create your thumbnail?
First, I started by looking for an image that feels more realistic than what our competition uses. Why? Because I prefer thumbnails that look real because most of the time, they perform much better. Besides, if you’re a car enthusiast, your main focus will likely be on the car itself, without wanting too many distractions. That’s why it’s important to keep it simple and let the focus stay entirely on the car.
Photoshop
To make the thumbnail stand out even more, I added a bit more brightning to it. Besides, I added a red arrow to create even more focus on the car.
In the end, I choose for the text It's a disaster because that can raise a lot of questions. If you followed all the steps, then your thumbnail will look something like this:
