Actor paycheck

Why this
niche?
In this niche, I found a channel that started only 4 months ago and is getting more than 1.3M+ views per month. Besides, there is still a lot of room for improvement in the content, so the chances of success in this niche are very high. If you're looking for an interesting niche about the paychecks of well-known actors, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Using photos of the movie
Using photos from the movie helps create recognition and trigger memories for the viewer, so definitely keep using those, along with real pictures of the actor. The more real footage, the better. Especially when you start telling the story in a new way, it’s important to make it feel like a real, engaging story. I’ll go into more details in the “don’ts” section.

No voice-over/script
What we see in this video is that they don't use a voice-over, and if you ask me, that's a missed opportunity because you can provide a lot more value to the viewer by adding a script and voice-over. This way, you can continuously trigger them to keep watching. The risk with this video is that people will eventually click away because they lose interest. But what if you triggered them each time by adding hooks, like KickFlix does? Zoom in on a case, give them some information, show more photos, and make it a story. Then, once that topic is finished, and you want to move to the next case, use hooks like these. For example:
• This amount might surprise you, but the next one is going to blow your mind...
• If you think this was insane, you won’t want to miss the next one...
• But if you thought this was the biggest payout, wait until you see what comes next...

Bad music transition
I don’t think there’s a worse transition than this. The fact that they just suddenly stop the music and start a different one makes it feel like the video ends abruptly, but still continues. Just make sure your editor has it flow smoothly instead of using such a harsh transition.

❌ Too chaotic
This is what your thumbnail will look like if you use too many focus points. I see 5 movies, text, a dollar sign, a question mark, and the actor all cluttered together. The good news is that if you can get almost half a million clicks with such a chaotic thumbnail, just imagine the results if you improve it.
Here’s how I’d change this thumbnail:
• Use a maximum of three focus points.
• Select 3 images of the same actor from 3 different well-known movies.
• Add the amount he earned per film, and make sure one number raises a question, for example, showing $0 for a famous film.
• To make it even clearer, you can also add the movie names.

Important
To get monetized, adding a voiceover to your videos is a must. Also, I’ve already mentioned in the analysis that it's important to add a lot more value to your video by using a good script with triggering hooks. To quickly summarize everything for you, it's important to keep the following things in mind:
1) Make sure the voice-over provides a clear and interesting story for each actor.
2) Use lots of triggering transitions to lead into the next case. For example: 'But if you thought this paycheck was insane, just wait for the next one...'
3) Use lots of real footage of the actor because people clicking on a specific name and are interested in the paycheck of that specific actor, so that means they probably are fans who clicking on videos like these.
How to find topics?
To find topics in this niche, it's important to take a good look at the competition. Which are the most popular topics? Recognize any pattern in them? Which actors do they use in their 3 most popular titles? To make this as easy as possible for you, I already checked this out for you.
1 • Sean Connery Paychecks For Every Movies He Ever Made
2 • Mark Wahlberg Paychecks For Every Movie He Ever Made
3 • Van Damme Paychecks For Every Movie He Ever Made
What stands out here is that Connery’s career started in the '60s, Wahlberg became a star in the '90s, and Van Damme is from the '80s/’90s action era. So that means if you take a look at the actors in this niche, you'll notice that all of them are a bit older, and they’re all famous for their action-packed roles in big movies. Each of them has had a long career, mainly in the action genre with many popular films under their belt. The pattern here is about focusing on actors who’ve been around for decades, built a strong reputation, and have starred in multiple movies that triggers a large audience.
A great thing about working with ChatGPT is that you can ask, based on the actors the competition used, if chat can tell who could fit into this sub niche. Besides, you can also ask ChatGPT for the earnings of films and actors. Of course, I’ve also included links to Google articles and Wikipedia lists so you can always check there as well. So when I ask Chat which other actors would fit in this sub niche, this is what I got:
Based on the pattern of action stars with long careers and major blockbuster movies, here are 10 more actors who would fit into this group:
- Sylvester Stallone
- Arnold Schwarzenegger
- Bruce Willis
- Tom Cruise
- Harrison Ford
- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
- Keanu Reeves
- Mel Gibson
- Vin Diesel
- Samuel L. Jackson

Topic:
To create my own topic in this niche, I choose to go for the name of Sylvester Stallone because the competition channel didn't do this topic till today and there's another channel where his name got a lot of clicks. Besides, he definitely fits in the group of famous action stars like all the other actors they cover up. On top of that there's lots of footage to be found about him and because of his name I think we can reach a large audience.

How to create your thumbnail?
First, I started with searching for the right images. What's most important is that you want your audience to see your actor in the clothes of the movie. So that's why
I did my best to search for images of Sylvester Stallone of his 3 most famous movies: Rambo, Expendables, Rocky.

Background
Then, I continued in Photoshop and wanted to change the background color so that it all stands out more. For me it's important to create 3 different sections with 3 different colors: blue, orange and red. That way, you can easily tell the 3 sections apart and look at them separately and create 3 different focus points.

Details
Since I wanted to add text under the movie name, I decided to use a gradient overlay. If you look at the Expendables section (the yellow one), you'll see that the image looks more natural because of the gradient. So, by focusing on adding gradients and small details like this, your thumbnail can look much better.

In the end, I added the movie names in smaller text because if you try this format, you’ll likely deal with long movie titles, so the text has to be smaller. I’ve also done my best to make it clear which movie it is through the photo, so the full title doesn’t need to be such a big focus. What I do want to highlight is the amount of money he earned from the films. To raise some questions, I’ve placed “0 dollars” in red on the right side, even though Rocky is obviously very well-known. If you follow all the steps, your thumbnail will look something like this:
