Organized Crime Europe
Why this
niche?
This is an interesting niche because there is little competition, the content is evergreen, and the audience is involved in the competitor channels. What makes this content so interesting is that it contains information that "shouldn't be known." This adds to the excitement, allowing you to create excellent thumbnails, titles, and videos.

Do's
00:00
Script comparison trick
This video's opening phrase is a fantastic technique that is frequently employed in scripts. The audience is left to wonder what unfolded in between.
00:09
Press conference clip
At the beginning of your video, you should reassure the viewer that what they clicked on is what they clicked on. This press conference clip builds trust and creates interest.
01:09
Newspapers
Newspapers are always an effective means of establishing credibility with your audience.
01:48
Map animation
Excellent animation illustrating what the voice-over is saying.
03:04
News clip
It's always a good idea to use news clips for this niche because they convey the idea that the subject must be important.
Great animations
They use excellent animations in their videos to explain what the voice-over is saying.
Detailed information
The information in these videos is so thoroughly explained and researched. This is also what I observed in the comments. This is a significant reason why people watch their videos. They are also showing their source by using newspaper headers frequently, which helps to build the viewer's trust that they have conducted thorough research.
Stock footage comment
I would never, ever use stock footage. However, if you use it, they are using it correctly. Showing a bridge or a city, for example. Using it to express emotion is, in our opinion, the worst thing you can do. Because it always gives the viewer a fake feeling.
Don'ts
Voice over
The "serious" tone of voice is appropriate, but I'm missing the emotion. Because of the audience, I would prefer someone who is a good storyteller and who sounds younger.
Script
In our opinion, the script is neither good nor bad. The script is a little too neat, and I would choose a more "younger" tone of voice. This is more of a television documentary script, and you can definitely use more tricks to keep the viewer engaged.
Faster editing
All of the clips are slow and take a long time. Don't get us wrong: I would not recommend a Mr. Beast style of editing, but there is definitely room for more pace, using sound effects, switching music, using less stock footage, and so on.
Do's

Great start
This video begins with some great action footage that immediately catches your attention. You've probably clicked on this video because you're looking for this type of content.
00:48
Great animation
Again, fantastic animations. They clearly explain what the voice-over is saying.
00:57
News articles
They're using newspaper titles to verify what they're saying, just like in video analysis 1.
03:05
Reading statement with a different voice-over
This occurs frequently in television documentaries and is an excellent way to give a video a new feel.
Tip: Do you want to recreate this but don't want to spend money on a new voice-over? At www.elevenlabs.io, you can use AI software to create amazing realistic sounding voice-overs.
Detailed information
The information in these videos has been thoroughly researched and explained. That's what I saw in the comments as well. That is one of the main reasons why people watch their videos. They also show their source by using newspaper headers frequently, which helps to build trust with your viewer that you have done thorough research.
Great animations
They use excellent animations in their videos to explain what the voice-over is saying.
Better video than video 1
In contrast to their previous video, they no longer use stock footage. They've probably learned from that and are now using pictures of the situations instead, which is far more effective.
Don'ts
Faster editing
This video's pace is slightly faster than the first, but there is still room for improvement, in our opinion.
Voice over
The "serious" tone of voice is appropriate, but I'm missing the emotion. Because of the audience, I would prefer someone who is a good storyteller and who sounds younger.
TITLE RATING
Title analysis
The titles on this channel have a lot of room for improvement. As you can see from the analyses, there aren't a lot of emotional trigger words in them.
Good titles contain emotional trigger words that ensure that a viewer will click your video. Emotional trigger words can be divided into 3 categories:
Curiosity (Words like: Banned, Exposed, Hidden, Illegal etc.)
Urgency/Unique: (Things like: Numbers, Limited Timed, Days etc.)
Titles: (Things like: Job titles, Family relations, Famous names etc.)

THUMBNAIL RATING
Thumbnail analysis
The Myx
Used thumbnail 1
❌ This thumbnail has over 170K+ views…
This is one of their baddest thumbnails on their channel. You have no idea what is going on in this thumbnail, but it has over 170K views. Imagine what would have happened if this video had a good thumbnail.
The Myx
Used thumbnail 2
❌ Doesn't trigger enough
All the elements in this thumbnail are weakly triggering. The image of the man in the middle says nothing unless you know who he is. The image on the left and right does nothing and is poorly visible. The text "Kinahan Cartel" may trigger something, but you can get much more out of it if you use it correctly. Remember that this video has received over one million views with this thumbnail, and there is still much room for improvement.
The Myx
Used thumbnail 3
❌ Doesn't trigger as well
Unless you know these guys, it has no effect on you. The only positive aspect of this thumbnail is that there isn't too much going on, and all elements are clearly visible. Remember that this video has over 1 million views.
The Myx
Used thumbnail 4
✅ 3 focus points
If I had to choose one of their thumbnails, I'd go with this one because it doesn't have too many focus points. The man with the jacket, the "Mocro" text, and the background or the logo are the focus points. That's great because you can easily scan the thumbnail in a split second. But of course this thumbnail is not good at all. I'm only talking about the focus points that did a good job.
The Myx
Revenue analysis
As seen on the Holland Crime Boulevard channel, these numbers are performing far below their potential. There is so much to optimize for this channel that you can generate significantly more revenue from it.

Do's
00:00
Great script intro
I'm not referring to the video editing or the script here, but to the script itself. Very well written and constructed
00:33
Google street view
Although the editing could have been improved, showing Google Street view footage is an excellent way to tell the story. It provides the viewer with a realistic representation of the story.
02:17
"I form"
Speaking in the "I form" makes your channel more personal, and people are more likely to comment, like, and share it.
02:26
Referring to your channel
This trick gives new viewers the impression that they are missing out on something, making them more likely to subscribe to your channel. And it gives the frequent viewer the impression that they are a part of a community/group.
02:43
Bingewatch strategy
They used a great trick from 02:43 to 03:00 to allow people to watch other videos on their channel as well. One of the key metrics YouTube looks for when deciding whether to let your channel go viral is whether people are watching multiple videos or just one. The more videos people watch on your channel, the more you send a signal to YouTube that your channel should be shown more frequently in the algorithm. Tip: Always include a card pop up that links to your video. This channel overlooks that, resulting in a missed opportunity.
Transition sound
It's a minor detail, but when they change clips, they use a shutter sound. Excellent sound for this niche, which creates a mysterious atmosphere.
Don'ts
00:00
Stock footage
Using stock footage for this video is one of the worst decisions you can make. The first seconds of your video are crucial because that is when the viewer decides whether to continue watching. And starting your video with stock footage gives it a fake/cheap feel.
00:28
Background music
The volume of the background music is too low. Your background music is so important in creating a feeling with the story you've told that I can barely hear it now.
Editing level
The editing in general isn't great, and there's definitely room for improvement. Many of the color, font, transition, picture, and stock footage choices were not of a high quality.
Do's
00:00
Script intro
Excellent script intro, just like in video 1.
00:25
Great animation
This is an excellent example of how to tell a story using only pictures. The second image might correspond better with what the voice-over was saying, but that's just adding another image in there.
00:42
Personal request
They also did something similar in video 1. Excellent way to interact with your community and attract new viewers.
01:46
Linking to other video
Linking to another video on your channel is another great way to get your audience to binge-watch. Tip: Always include a card pop up that links to your video. This channel overlooks that, resulting in a missed opportunity.
Background music
I like the background music that is being played.
Editing in general
In my opinion, the editing on this video is superior to that on video 1. Better decisions were made at the detail level. However, there is still much room for improvement.
Transition sound
It's a minor detail, but when they change clips, they use a shutter sound. Excellent sound for this niche, which creates a mysterious atmosphere.
Don'ts
00:08
Stock footage
I would not use stock footage in this situation. It is better suited to choose images of Balkans in action with black bars for their eyes or something similar. The rest of their video also contains stock footage. That is something I would try to avoid as much as possible.
TITLE RATING
Title analyses
This channel has far superior titles than The Myx. That is also reflected in their views per video. When they upload a video, it almost always reaches the 50K mark.

Curiosity (Words like: Banned, Exposed, Hidden, Illegal etc.)

THUMBNAIL RATING
Thumbnail analyses
Holland Crime Boulevard
Used thumbnail 1
✅ Black rectangle
Placing a black bar in front of someone's eyes is distressing because it makes them appear criminal.
Holland Crime Boulevard
Used thumbnail 2
❌ Too much going on
Because there is so much going on in this thumbnail, your eyes don't know where to look. People decide whether to click on your video in a split second, so they don't have time to scrutinize your thumbnail for every detail. The designer wants you to focus on the guy in the middle, the text, the FBI, the Facebook tex message, and the photo behind the guy in this thumbnail. Use no more than three focus points.
Holland Crime Boulevard
Used thumbnail 3
✅ One of their better thumbnails
This looks more like it in my opinion. There should be no more than three focus points, great text because it raises a lot of questions, a black bar in front of the guy's eyes, and a realistic "real life" photo that does not appear edited. This video did well on this channel as well, so I believe it has something to do with the thumbnail.
Holland Crime Boulevard
Used thumbnail 4
❌ Again so much going on
This thumbnail almost appears to be a puzzle. Who rescued who? Why does she have a black bar over her eyes if she's trying to save someone? I'm not sure where to look. This video wasn't successful as well, which is most likely due to the thumbnail.

Topic example
Tania Gomez
If you go to the Interpol website, you will find a long list of the most wanted European criminals. Then I noticed a beautiful woman in that list, which could be a great topic if you look at the analyses we've done. If you look at that list, you'll notice that the majority of the criminals are men, so doing a topic about a woman will draw attention because it's something different. Aside from that, men are always compelled to click on a beautiful woman.
Check out her story at the links below and share it with your team.

Thumbnail example
I came across this image on the internet and it was exactly what I was looking for. She appears to be a young girl who you might see on Instagram. By showing the opposite, you can perfectly create a shock effect with this photo.
YOUR VIDEO
End result
Black bar
As we learned in the competition thumbnails, I opted for a black bar in front of her eyes to create interest that it is a criminal.
Body bags
I have chosen to show body bags besides her because you're limited to YouTube's guidelines with weapons and blood etc. I think this is safe and still creates a lot of interest
Triggering text
Like we have learned from a competition channel. This text worked great on one of their videos, so lets try it out. Also keep your thumbnail text as short as possible because people are scanning your thumbnails in a split second and won't read long lines of text
Yellow tint
I also have chosen for a yellow tint because one of the better competition channels is using that as well. I would never advise copying a channel, but if you're using the same colors, people can think that it's one of their thumbnails and you can create some early traction.
