I can very well understand that they use such a big size for the subtitles but I think the placement could be better. Because right now, it blocks some of the footage, making it hard to see everything.

First, I think it's important to mention that I'm not a fan of asking to like and subscribe. As I explained in other niches as well, it's more important to take care of creating the best content, ensuring a good script, a good thumbnail, title etc. and then they'll subscribe automatically. Because most people will only subscribe to your channel if they really like your content, and not because you ask them to. However, I must say that what our competitor's channel is doing here is a smart strategy. They actually are using faith, so that your audience can feel the pressure to press that button anyway. I don't necessarily want to say that I support this, but if I look at this from a business point of view, I can imagine that with this trick you can still get some people from this target group to click on that button. It is of course up to you whether you would want to apply this as well.

So for that reason, I would always make sure that you don't use too much text on your thumbnail because otherwise people have to read too much, they don't have time for that and continue with scrolling. But, other than that, this is a fine thumbnail.

So, you'll either need to get creative with ChatGPT or hire a scriptwriter. My advice for creating topics is to use ChatGPT because it can provide a lot of information about the names I mentioned earlier (Nostradamus, Baba Vanga, Edgar Cayce, The Lady of Fatima) and easily connect them to current political events.
Topic:
To create my own topic in this niche, I looked at what works well on our competitors' channels. I noticed that many popular videos are about the Lady of Fatima, where they discussing her prophecies and their meanings. These videos get a lot of views, so that shows us that there is a big interest in topics about her. So since there is so much interest in topics about the Lady of Fatima, I believe it would be a missed opportunity not to cover this subject myself. I'll link them down below:

How to create your thumbnail?
The woman you see below is Lucia, she and her cousins claimed to have witnessed the apparitions of Our Lady of Fátima in 1917. Her face is pretty well-known, so I choose to go for an image of her. Anyone who knows about her, will recognize her right away.
Camera Raw filter & background
To make Lucia stand out even more, I created a new layer and added the following steps: Camera Raw filter -> Texture -> Whiten -> Exposure. I want to create an intense background scenario involving Donald Trump, making it seem as though Lucia had predicted something about him. I can understand that this might come across as clickbait, but if you don't do it, chances are that the competition will.
Black shadow
I added a black shadow to make the text stand out more, which also highlights Trump in the background and shifts focus away from the crowd. This results in three clear focal points: Background, Lucia, and the text.
In the end, I choose to go for the text: 'SHE WARNED US' to create some FOMO. Besides, there’s really nothing misleading about that, as Lucia and her cousins were indeed the three children who conveyed the message from the Lady of Fatima. They wanted to warn people about certain situations in the future. So for that reason, the text is a perfect fit if you ask me.
