Muscle Cars
Why this
niche?
In this niche I found a channel that started only 2 months ago, and has already achieved almost half a million views right away with only their 1st video . Besides that, there is still plenty of room for improvement so there's definitely a big chance of succes within this niche.

Competition ANALYSIS
These channels are showing potential for this niche.
The competition channel American Legends is a channel that is already getting pretty good views, but there is also room for improvement. Besides that, I also found another channel that is doing well and that is @qmusclecars so I would definitely take a look there as well so you can also see the different styles in thumbnails and topics.

Nice voice over
Since this niche consists mainly of men, I would definitely choose a male voice over in this niche. A calm and serene voiceover who is also familiar with this niche would most effectively grabs the viewer's attention. A good example is that the generation that watches this niche also used to watch Jay Leno's Garage a lot. A person who is very recognizable to them and that kind of voice would therefore definitely do well with this niche.
00:00
Start straight away
The first 12 seconds are great because they give right away what the viewer clicked for and immediately show several concept cars.
00:22
Real footage
Using real footage is a must in this niche, especially since the target audience is somewhat older. By using real footage, we can further engage this audience by making them feel like they are travelling back in time and experiencing the good old days.

Technical analyses
What they do well here is to mention the technical aspect. We have also seen in the comments that viewers find the technical information interesting because they often share their own opinions about it, so I would definitely use these technical facts in your script if you want to start into this niche.
Don'ts
00:15
Missed the mark
''Hit that subscribe button and let's dive in!''
As we have described in previous analyses as well, asking to like and subscribe to your video is not the right way to keep your viewers hooked. If you can make sure the quality and quantity are in good proportion then they will come back naturally. Also, mentioning works against the viewer because you are distracting them from the story they came for.
00:00
Not using subtitles
Adding subtitles to your video makes it better because people can watch it without sound. And also because this audience is a bit older, I would definitely add subtitles. It also creates an extra focus point and can cause the viewers to continue watching the video longer for that reason, because they need to focus on something.
00:00
No background music
I noticed that no background music is used in the intro and the rest of the video and that is definitely something I would add, making the video even more enjoyable to watch.
00:18
Not enough hooks
The way the channel @Kickflix tells the story and uses a lot of great hooks is much more triggering to keep watching the video, for example:
• 1. But nothing compares to this *name of car/muscle car*
• 2. But if you think this is the craziest muscle car you've ever seen, then you're wrong...
1:06
No personal opinion
I think it can be even better if you make sure that the scriptwriter shares a little more of his own opinion about these technical facts and talks more from his own perspective because we see that de audience does the same thing in the comments. As a result, this audience may disagree or agree with the scriptwriters opinion, and that will cause for even more commotion in the comments.
01:51
Poor use of video editing
This text block is too long to read. Instead, present information in your video in a clear and simple way by having the voiceover read each point.

American Legends
Used thumbnail 1
✅ Fine thumbnail
This thumbnail is fine. They understood the rule of using max 2/3 focus points. And the phrase 'concept cars' is really triggering to this target audience. If there's something we can improve, I'd choose for a more outgoing picture for the thumbnail.
American Legends
Used thumbnail 2
✅ Good Visuals
A great thumbnail with max 2/3 focus points and a triggering image. But the text on the thumbnail repeats what is already mentioned in the title, because the title of this thumbnail is: 10 Fastest FORD Muscle Cars In Company HISTORY!
So for that reason, I would change the text of the thumbnail to something like this: 2000HP! Besides that, I would also add a red arrow towards the car's engine which gives the indication that it's therefore the ''Fastest Ford''.
American Legends
Used thumbnail 3
😐 Room for improvement
This thumbnail may not look as fancy as the other thumbnails, but that's because this picture is more nostalgic. The text Chevelle SS WAGON adds absolutely no value to this thumbnail because this target audience probably already knows this car very well. Besides that, the 3 focus points have become 4 and that's why the thumbnail is difficult to read. Because of that, I would leave out the text Chevelle SS WAGON and replace it with the text: 7.4 LITER V8

How do I find topics?
Important: It would be great if you can find a scriptwriter who has an affinity with this niche. I believe that if your scriptwriter does not have that, you can still succeed but if you can find a scriptwriter who does have affinity then he will be able to add that special touch to it, or add his personal opinion into the script.
In this niche, it's important to actually showcase the craziest muscle cars, because during my research I've seen on multiple channels doing very well. Here are some channels where you can find a lot of inspiration for topics:
• https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9oT3EOmthQ
• https://www.youtube.com/@MagnaLume/videos
• https://www.youtube.com/@magnumred/videos
• https://www.youtube.com/@Finestvehicles/videos
• and our competition channel: https://www.youtube.com/@American.legends
TikTok: Always use the platform TikTok to see if you can find a lot of inspiration on there as well because most of the time you can find a lot of videos about a niche on TikTok as well, such as these:
Google: On Google you can find lots of articles about muscle cars. So I would definitely use Google if you have a topic on your mind (or need one), to see if you can find more information about it. I have been able to find a lot of articles:
• https://robbreport.com/motors/cars/gallery/25-greatest-muscle-cars-1234867352/1971_plymouth_gtx/ (greatest muscle cars)
• https://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/g790/10-surprising-facts-about-american-muscle-cars/ (most badass American muscle cars)
• https://www.volocars.com/auto-sales/news/history-of-the-muscle-car (history of the muscle car, with a lot of other links in this article)
• https://www.hotcars.com/classic-oldsmobiles-defined-muscle-car-era/ (classic old timers)
• https://www.slashgear.com/1448476/underappreciated-oldsmobile-muscle-cars/ (6 Of The Most Underappreciated Oldsmobile Muscle Cars)
• https://www.topspeed.com/forgotten-american-muscle-cars-every-enthusiast-should-know/ (15 Forgotten American Muscle Cars Everyone Should Know About)
• https://www.hotcars.com/reason-muscle-car-era-1970s-ended/ (The Real Reason The Muscle Car Era Ended In The '70s)
Topic:
I started my research at the competition channel American Legends to see which topics are performing well. I noticed the most popular video was about Ford/Chevelle SS, (and the best muscle cars from the 50's en 60's). From there I continued my search on YouTube. I was able to find some videos that are also getting some pretty good views, so there is probably something about these topics that really triggers this audience. So I Googled '' Craziest muscle car'' and came up with this article: https://www.carwow.co.uk/blog/best-american-muscle-cars

How to create your thumbnail?
I wanted to create a triggering thumbnail of a muscle car with big tires, a car that stands out well because I've seen on multiple channels that these thumbnails had many clicks. So I searched on Google for 'Craziest Muscle Car' and 'Drag Race Muscle Car (to get more extreme results) and came up with this image.
I expanded the background with the AI tool in Photoshop, otherwise the image didn't fit. You can find this by following these steps: Select Subject --> Command + Shift + I --> Generative Fill --> search on: ''Background'' and click on Generate.
Add gradient
To make the car stand out better, we are going to add a gradient that goes from black to transparency. As you can see, the photo is a lot darker because of the gradient, but we will fix this afterward.
Cut out the car, brightness and sharpen
As you can see because of the gradient the car has now become too dark, so I cut out the car and made it brighter and sharper. In Photoshop you can sharpen your image by doing this: Select layer --> Click on Filter on top --> Click on Camera Raw Filter --> Go to effects and put the texture on +100. Then go to Detail and put the Sharpening on +150 --> Press OK. Then your image will look like this:
Added text
Then I chose to go for the text '2000HP!' because that will show how powerful this car is, and because we have seen that this audience likes to click on videos where they are showing the fastest/craziest/best muscle cars and that's why I think this will trigger them a lot.
I also added some black shadow as I always do around the white text, making the text stand out even more. This is the end result:
AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience like?
Giving their opinion
Wanting to go in discussion is very frequently seen in this niche. What the viewer has been told or think to know is the "real truth" to them.
Muscle Cars
Using many familiar images and videos works great in this niche. Looking at real images and edits of their "dream" or their car they used to have.
Nostalgia
This audience watches these type of videos because they often have a lot of knowledge about the cars passing by or have some childhood memories with them.
AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience not like?
Mispronouncing names
You see this a lot with these videos. A common problem when using an AI voice over. I saw a lot of comments where the target group says that they don't like the way these names are pronounced multiple times.
AI voice over
One of the most common comments are about mispronouncing names as I have indicated before, but you also see a clear frustration towards AI and robots. This audience is obviously not a fan of it.
