Old money
Why this
niche?
The competition channel started not too long ago and is performing great. The videos are long, and combined with the niche category, I predict a very high RPM.

''Imagine for a moment''
A good way to bring the viewer more into the story is exactly what they do here. They also name a lot of small details here which makes it even easier for the viewer to be able to really visualize the situation well. As an example:
Imagine for a moment you are a tourist in London, the seemingly endless Metropolis resonant with a vivacious pulse and twinkling City Lights, where ancient stone streets whisper Tales of yesty year and Modern Skyscrapers soar into the vast Cerulean Skyline..''
Since people point out in the comments that they love how the story is told, I would definitely recommend making your script as detailed as possible, exactly as they do here. But after this sentence it's getting to lengthy, I will explain this more in the 'dont's'

Naming facts
''This covert Dynasty owns an astonishing 50% of the prestigious District of Mayfair, including the freeholds of the American Embassy, the Bowmont hotel and the gagosian gallery.''
In this niche, it is important to name facts. This is a documentary about wealth history (old money) and people probably click on this video because they are interested in that and want to learn something about it. So for that reason, I would definitely include enough facts in your script so that the target audience actually gets the idea that they have learned something after watching this kind of documentary.

Nice video editing and voice over
There are many comments where people say they like the voice-over. Also, the footage used by the video editor looks really good. However, you may have heard that this voice over uses certain English words that you would probably not hear on any regular channel. In fact, when I first saw this video, I had to try hard to follow it properly. But since the comments on this are so positive, I would definitely recommend keeping the same formal style because the target audience likes it that way.

The start is not too bad but it could be better..
As pointed out in past niche analysis, the majority of your audience will leave your video within the first few seconds. So you have to give your audience a reason to continue watching your video. This is particularly important if your video lasts 2.5 hours. And I'm missing that reason.. I do not get triggered that much. I think it will be way more triggering if you talk about something of value that has been built by one of those old money families and talk about how much it has cost and end it with a triggering statement that you will reveal later in the video.
For example: See this building? [show building] and this parc with the golden gate? [show parc with the golden gate] this all has been built by the ... family, but that's not all because how they financed it is still up till today a huge mystery.. But I have done a ton of research and I have found the answer to this huge mystery. But before I can explain to you how this all happened, we first have to explain where it all started.
This will be a way more triggering intro in my opinion because you give the viewer straight away what they have clicked for and give them a reason to continue watching because they want to know the answer to that 'huge mystery'.

Long-winded and a lot fill-up
The people are loving how the story is being told, so keep doing that, but sometimes it takes way too long and the story is not getting to the point. And I'm missing that same triggering reason to keep watching as I explained at 00:00 trough the whole video. If this channel gets to the point quicker, triggers the audience more by giving them a reason to continue watching, they can improve their AVD a lot.

Bad transitions
I would never use this kind of transitions in my video. When I was watching this video, I immediately noticed this transition because the voice over was still talking and suddenly the screen turned black. What I would do is add a hook at the end of your case so you give the viewer a reason to keep watching the next one as well. Right now they don't really give the viewer any reason to continue watching.

THUMBNAIL RATING

Old Money Documentaries
Used thumbnail 1
❌ To many focus points
Faces are huge focus points because people are naturally drawn to looking at them. This thumbnail looks chaotic because you don't know where to look, which results in people not clicking on your thumbnail. If you're going to use this thumbnail style, I would not recommend to use more then 2 faces and 1 text to keep your thumbnail as clean as possible.
Old Money Documentaries
Used thumbnail 2
❌ No triggering text
Because of the images used in this thumbnail style, there aren't many triggering elements, so you have to make sure that the text on your thumbnail is really triggering. The text 'Rich Families in Fashion' is really boring and will not be that triggering. Something like: 'Scamming Monopolist' with a pointing arrow to a person should be way more triggering.

Revenue analysis
The RPM of this niche can go either way. Lets start with that all of their videos are around 1 hour so that already means that the RPM will be higher than normal. Then it depends on how YouTube has labeled this niche for advertisers. When it goes to the history side, the RPM will be in the $6 range. When it goes to the money side, the sky is the limit, and it's possible to see crazy RPM's of $20 or higher. I think it will be somewhere in between.

How to find topics?
It's important to find topics that this target group is primarily interested in. As I mentioned before, there are many people in the comments who want to see more topics about Gilded Age families. Besides that, I would also look closely at the competition channel and this channel and take inspiration from the topics they have used: https://www.youtube.com/@oldmoneyluxury
Based on that and the comments, I would expand the research further on Google where I found this list:
From there I would research more on those families and send it to my scriptwriter.
Also on TikTok you can find a lot of information about old money families, so you can get a better idea of this niche yourself by watching short videos.
Topic:
I chose to go for the DuPont family because just one of the competition channels has covered that topic yet, and I saw some comments from people who are asking to create that video on the channel that did not do the topic. Besides that, the DuPont family has a shocking history of how they earned their money, so that's great for your title and thumbnail.

How to create your thumbnail?
Personally I do not like the competition channel thumbnails that much, but they inspired their thumbnails on Old Money Luxury and that is working really well for them. I always try to do something different than the competition, but in this case I would start with the same style as they have and work from there.
I started looking for 2 family members of the DuPont family in the Gilded Age and I found these 2 pictures on Google:
The only thing that is left is a background picture, so I typed in to Google: 'DuPont family house' and I found this picture
YOUR VIDEO
End result
What did I do?
- Images: As you can see the pictures of the DuPont Family members are in color now. I did that with this tool: https://www.img2go.com/colorize-image
From there I cut out both pictures and placed them on the canvas. - Gold style: Then I created a gradient square stroke around the canvas. The color codes are: #ffd105 to #FFFFFF
- Background: I used Photoshop AI to extend the house image for a better fit on the canvas. Then I added a simple gradient van #00000 (black) to transparent to create more depth and make your text stand out more.
- Text: I chose the words'Evil Billionares" because the word 'Gilded Age' is already in the title, and because of thatI believe the thumbnail and title work well together.
