Black vs White stories
Why this
niche?
In this niche, I found a channel that started only 1 month ago and achieved now over more than 4.3M views. This shows that there are still very many opportunities within this niche and there is also plenty of room for improvement, so try to imagine what could happen if you made it even better. So if you are looking for a niche that is cheap with easy content to create, then I would definitely read through this analysis.

Do's

Straight to the point
No long-winded intro, but starting with the story right away, which immediately gives the viewer the value they clicked for. Great intro!

Subtitles
The video editing of this channel will definitely not trigger the viewer at all, so it's a smart move to add subtitles. This way, the viewer can understand the story better and the subtitles can also serve as an extra point of focus, which will encouraging them to continue watching your video.

Trigger your audience
'But then she handed him a shocking note, that affected his life as 23-year-old...'
This is a good example of how to hook viewers with your video. They mention something interesting and wait to explain it until later, which makes you want to keep watching the video to find out the answer.
2:08
Details
'And then he felt her fingers crawl into his pocket..'
What they do well here is including details in the script. This helps the viewer empathize with the story. Especially since there are no visuals, using details like this in your script is a must. This way, the viewer can use their imagination to get a clearer picture of what is being described, and that causes them to get into the story even better.

Building tension in the script
when I was watching this video, I noticed at this point that they build the tension in the story pretty well. I was completely caught up in the story and because of that it's almost impossible as a viewer to click away because you want to know where he ends up. And as long as you as a viewer don't have that answer, you continue watching. Very good script!
Don'ts

Boring video editing
A video that is 17 minutes long where only 1 photo is used. This shows that there is still a lot of room for improvement here because this way it's just a very boring video if you ask me. The only thing I can think of is that people like to listen to this as a kind of podcast, but that's a missed opportunity because there are also people who value watching visuals during a video. So I would definitely look for an editor who can add some more photos and clips to it, so you can reach an even bigger audience.

No changing background music
The story takes a different turn here and becomes more emotional. That would be a good time to change the background music that has been the same for the whole time.

Wonderful Life
Used thumbnail 1
✅ Great thumbnail
This isn't exactly my style for a thumbnail, but it is quite obviously something that works for this niche in combination with this title: Black Boy Gives Seat to Elderly Lady. 3 Minutes Later, Her Shocking Note Changes Everything!
This thumbnail immediately provides a clear message, a black boy helping an old white woman, with an arrow pointing to her smile. For that reason, this is a very triggering thumbnail for this target audience and which you can certainly take an example from.

❌ Confusing focus points
I like this thumbnail, but I have to say that the focus points are confusing because the background is blurred, but there is an arrow pointing towards the man. If you want the focus on something, then blurring it is not a smart move because that makes it less noticeable, so that's why this thumbnail is very contradictory. What I notice is that with every thumbnail, they use arrows or circles that add no value at all (like the circle around the black man's head). So I would definitively leave that circle out and remove the blur from the background. Then in the end, you have 3 clear focal points: arrow pointing at the man in the background, text and the black man at the front.

✅ Triggering thumbnail, but...
This is a typical thumbnail that can make you very curious as a viewer because you have to click to find out the answer. Besides that, I really like the yellow text in combination with the red focus points because it creates some good contrast. But there are a lot of them (2 arrows, 1 circle, text, a running child and cops in the background) It's best to use a maximum of 3 focus points if you ask me, because otherwise your thumbnail can be too chaotic. For that reason, I'd leave out the arrow that's pointing at the cop, and only leave the text with an arrow pointing at the kid.
Wonderful Life
Used thumbnail 4
The RPM of the longer videos (30 min+) can go up to $8 and the shorter videos (8-15 min) will probably be around $4

How do I find topics?
You can compare this niche a bit with the niche 'Fake Crime'. You can create endless topics yourself because the stories are not real, so that's a real plus if you ask me. But, it is important that we do keep the same pattern that our competition channel Wonderful Life is using because we have the confirmation that it works well. To make it as easy as possible for you, I already did the research for you.
If you look at the most popular videos from our competition channel, you will see that almost every video/title starts with Black boy/White Boy/Young Black Man/Black Teen.
Besides that, I have noticed that often black people are highlighted positively and white people are highlighted negatively. Although I must say that there is 1 topic (the second most popular video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ce7cjg7FsZI&t=8s) that shows that if you bring it this way, that it's also well received by the target audience by the views.
But generally, there's a clear pattern where Black people do something good, and then something shocking happens to them. This creates a feeling of sympathy and injustice for the viewers, which is exactly what they comment on.
I'll give you a few examples:
• Black Man Got Arrested, But Shocking Discovery Leaves Everyone Surprised!
• Black Woman Got HUMILIATED By White Man, Then This Happens!
• Black Boy Saved White Woman's Life, What He Did Next SHOCKED The World
YouTube: With the channels I've found on YouTube, you can also get a lot of inspiration for topics, and you can see what works well and what doesn't.
• https://www.youtube.com/@LIFENARRATEDSTORIES-dt6cl/videos
Scriptwriter: Since you can also create your own topics in this niche as well, you can hire a scriptwriter and let her imagination do the work. However, the topic must be about a black man/woman/child who does a good deed and then something shocking happens. Or what we have also seen is that a topic where a white boy protects a black person and then something shocking happens also works well. But considering most topics are about black people being unfairly humiliated or something along those lines, I would keep the focus on that first.
ChatGPT: If you know how to use ChatGPT, it can be really helpful in this niche. It can give you lots of ideas and is a smart tool to use, for creating your own script.
Articles/video references
Because we create topics ourselves in this niche, it is not possible to post an article here. However, I would like to explain the reason why I chose a topic where a white police man is holding a black man.
I noticed that positive topics, like charity or a Black man doing something kind, work well. But I've also seen that negative and shocking topics get a lot of attention, such as 'Young Black Man Married an Old Rich Woman for Money, BUT SHE FOUND OUT HIS PLAN.' I wanted to create a more shocking topic that highlights the contrast between white and Black people. Since there's a lot of tension between the police and black people in America, I think choosing for a topic where a white officer holding a black man with a triggering text, making it seem like the officer is insulting him, could really trigger a strong reaction to this audience. So to make it clear, in this niche you can go in two directions:
1. Choose topics that express charity, for example a black man helping an elderly woman and then something shocking happens
2. Or choose shocking topics where a Black person is mistreated by a white person.

How to create your thumbnail?
I assume that the competition uses AI for their thumbnails, so I went to see if I could create the right picture with MidJourney via Discord. To me, It's important that it's a shocking photo with a lot of action so that the thumbnail will stand out right away. That is also the reason why I added in the prompt that the black man should be wearing a red shirt, so that he stands out even more. The prompt I used goes as follows:
Extend in Photoshop
Because I accidentally didn't have MidJourney take the photo at the correct size, I had to get creative myself and had to extend the photo. I did this by selecting the white areas with the lasso tool and then clicking on Generative Fill - and type 'background'.
Camera Raw Filter
To make the police officer and the black man stand out even more, I selected them both and used the following steps: Camera Raw Filter - Exposure +0.20 - Whites +71 + Texture.
Since I only later noticed that the AI didn’t generate the police officer's hand correctly, I decided to place an arrow there to hide the mistake. In the end, I chose the text 'YOU DUMB N*GGA' because I thought it might trigger the target audience and hit a sensitive nerve. So if you followed all the steps, then your thumbnail will look something like this:
AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience like?
Black vs White
Once you start taking a look at our competition channel, you will see that a clear contrast is created between black and white people. This is exactly what triggers this target group and is a must to continue on in this niche.
Humility
This audience enjoys watching videos where the black people are being humble, have people's best interests at heart, respect the elderly, are helpful, etc. This is in contrast to how white people are being highlighted in this niche.
Good storytelling
This comment shows that the target audience doesn’t really care whether the story is real or created by AI. They just enjoy a good story. I won’t highlight the use of AI, but this comment shows that it doesn’t matter to them.
