Men Improvement
Why this
niche?
I found a channel in this niche that has only posted 7 videos so far and achieved millions of views. So there is no doubt that this niche is interesting enough to try out. Once you get to know the audience, and know exactly where to trigger them, then the chances of success in this niche are very high.

Great, triggering intro!
''The funny thing about this video is that only around 15% of the people watching this video, will look through the whole video.. Interesting, because the people that will click off this video are the ones that need this advice the most..''
This is a very good, triggering intro where they immediately grab the viewer's attention. Because whether this will be a good video or not, just because of this one sentence people will watch it a little bit longer than they normally would because when you challenge people they often want to prove themselves. The only thing I would leave out here are the first 4 seconds of this intro. As I often mention: The first seconds of your video are the most important, so you'd rather want the voice-over to start the story right away, instead of staring at a text that says: 'educational film by'...

Great script
''If I was like most content creators in this Niche, I would give you the top five tricks to never scroll again and I would make this video really entertaining with a fast-paced editing and we would leave this video feeling really motivated; but we would most likely not stop scrolling...''
As I was watching this video, this part gave me the idea that this is a "different kind of video" than most videos on Youtube. It is important to create this feeling because it plays a significant rolein this niche. The audience watching these videos is a little smarter than typical YouTube viewers, and if they get the impression that you aren't giving any value or that your videos were created by an AI, they will leave. So that must be your primary goal for this niche: add actual value while presenting it in a personable way

A good example
A good video and script starts with knowing your target audience well. Because if you don't know what kind of audience is watching your videos, it's going to be hard to trigger them. And this is a good example where this channel knows exactly who their target audience is. Young men, who are looking for videos to become a better version of themselves without the feeling that they are watching a very drawn-out, not adding real value video.

''Rules for this test''
This is a great way to get more interaction with your audience because you really get the feeling that the narrator is talking to you as a person. Since this is a typical "How to" video, and people clicked on the video for that reason as well, I think this is a very good move to use in your script. So I would definitely add this to your script if you are going to start in this niche.

A great trick
''Our lizard brain will try to tell us that we need to be somewhere else, we need to watch this other video, or we need to do this or other things... But don't listen to it, you don't need to be anywhere else then right here. Have this in mind while watching the rest of the video.''
While this may be part of the meditation/exercise, this is also a very smart way to keep the viewer watching the video for as long as possible because they're doing an exercise and when the exercise is good, they will keep watching because they want to finish it.

The right footage
Although it might not be my first choice to use this type of footage, we can see quite clearly in the comments that this target audience enjoys watching this. In the beginning of the video you see some more anime/cartoon footage, and then it changes to calm visuals with animations. So I would look for an editor who can show this kind of visuals, because that is simply what the target audience likes.

Nice voice over
I think this is a very good voice over because we are dealing with a young audience here. And again, we've seen from the comments that they appreciate it when a younger person, gives advice to another younger person. So for that reason, I would definitely choose a somewhat younger male voice over, who can tell the story well where it seems like it's not so scripted.
Don'ts
I have not been able to find anything in this video that I don't like. This is a very good video and you can definitely take an example from this.

✅ This thumbnail has more than 1 million views...
This is a good example to show how important it is to know your target audience well. I have pointed this out several times, but we see it again with this thumbnail. This thumbnail has now reached over 1 million views and that will also be as a result of this thumbnail, because your video can be very good but if people don't click on your thumbnail then they can never know how good your video is. Try to speak the language of the target audience, and if you need to use these words like bullsh*t, then I would definitely use that in this niche.

✅ A great match with the title
If you would know what the title is with this thumbnail, you'll see that the thumbnail reinforces the title. Because the title of this thumbnail is:
How to actually become productive.
And of course, that will raise a lot of questions. Because you want to become more productive, but the thumbnail indicates do less? That's weird isn't it? And that can trigger the viewer causing them to click on your video. This is a very good thumbnail and we see that it works, so this is exactly how I would create my thumbnails in this niche. So keep the thumbnails the same as how this channel does it, because if something works, then you don't necessarily have to change it.

Used thumbnail 3
✅ Cartoon/anime style
With almost every thumbnail on this channel, we see that specific cartoon/anime style coming back. And those are also the footage they used in the video itself. So this gives us another confirmation that the target audience really likes this style, and that's exactly why I would also recommend making your thumbnails in this style too.

Revenue analysis
The RPM may be on the higher side because of the target audience. People who are looking for help are most likely to buy stuff and can be influenced by course ads etc.

How to find topics?
It is important that you find topics that address the issues young men are facing in the modern world. For example the best performing topic of the competition channels is "how to actually stop scrolling". That's a great topic because it triggers a problem these young men are facing. But how do you know which problems these men are facing?
YouTube: This channel is a great source where you can find loads of topics or topics you can use as inspiration: https://www.youtube.com/@ImprovementPill/videos
Reels/TikTok: If you want to understand your target audience, check the TikToks and Reels of well-known influencers such as Andrew Tate, Imad Gahzi, David Goggins, and others. They all make great triggering Reels and TikToks that address the issues of your target audience. For example this Reel: https://www.instagram.com/p/C3RDom9v-sg/ David Goggins is talking about failing, so a title for your video could be: How to actually stop failing (no bs) or Why you need to start failing. Simple as that.
Topic
I went to the Improvement Pill channel, and their most popular video is from 6 years ago with the title: 5 LIFE HACKS That Will MOTIVATE You To Do ANYTHING. The competition also got a good performing video titled: How to Work Without Motivation. So I believe it would be a wise decision to begin with a topic focused on motivation, as this issue appears to trigger the interest of the target audience.

How to create your thumbnail?
My goal is usually to take the things that are nice about the competition's thumbnails and put your own twist on them, but in this case, it's quite difficult to think of anything other than what the competition is doing. As we've learned, this audience enjoys the anime stuff shown in the video, and they also use such images in their thumbnails. I believe this is also why their thumbnails work, therefore trying to reinvent the wheel would not be a good idea.
So I typed into Google "Anime Work" and I found this picture:

What did I do
- Text: As we learned, the text is really important and may make or break your thumbnail. So I chose the text: NO BULLSH*T GUIDE since it performed very well on a competition channel thumbnail and perfectly triggersthe audience's need for no bullshit videos.
AUDIENCE ANALYSIS
What does the audience like?
'A real person speaking with personal ideals'
This audience likes to listen to a younger person, with a real voice with personal ideals. So my advice is not to choose a typical AI robot voice over for this niche, because the target audience shows us in the comments that they actually appreciate listening to a real voice.
Calming visuals
One of the most common comments are about the visuals that they used in the video. They use some kind of anime/cartoon like pictures and clips, and as we can see the target audience really like to see this. I will go into more detail on this in the video analysis.
'From some young, to someone young'
As indicated earlier, this target audience likes a young voice over. This target group is made up of young people, who through this type of videos can look in a different way at topics such as meditation. Because it's told in a young way, many young boys are much more interested and take this advice much faster.
