Straight to the point
I like that they start the story right away. There's no need to ask for likes or subscriptions, or to welcome the audience, they just jump straight into what the title is about. A great intro!

Using real footage
Although the footage isn’t the best quality, it doesn’t really matter. People click on this video to watch female porn stars who have passed away, so they definitely want to see who you’re talking about. Use as much real footage as possible, because that’s exactly what this audience wants to see.

Male voice-over
Because the audience for this topic is probably mostly men, it’s a good idea to use a male voice-over for your script. A male voice is easier for them to relate to and makes the content feel more engaging. People often connect better with a voice that feels familiar to them.

Nice background music
I like the background music they chose here. It gives a bit of a thrilling vibe and makes the intro more exciting to watch. A lot of people mess up when picking background music, like choosing something that’s too distracting or doesn’t match the video. But here, it works really well and fits perfectly.

Don't do it this way
Don’t get me wrong because this video got 3 million views for a reason, so it’s clear they’re doing something right. But I think we can make it even more interesting, and we actually really need to, because if you follow this format exactly, there’s a high chance your video could get demonetized or never be monetized at all. Why? Because they only use a voice-over in the first few minutes, and then just play music for the rest of the video. Besides, the risk of this is that viewers might lose interest and click away, as it can feel repetitive and not engaging enough. So, adding more context to each story could really help to trigger your audience more, and it’s something you need to do if you want to avoid any risks with monetization on your channel.
"But if you thought this one was intense, wait until you hear the cause of death of [porn star’s name].
I'll go into more details about this at the Let's create your video section.

It works, but...
This thumbnail triggers our audience enough to achieve more than 3.1M+ views, so that shows us that this definitely works. But, I think we can make it even better because there are a lot of focus points right now in the thumbnail. First off, I would start with choosing a maximum of 3 people on your thumbnail so that it will not be too chaotic. Also, the emoticons are another focus point, so I'd definitely leave that out. That way, you can make your image and text bigger so it will stand out even more.

Wrong color contrast
Because there aren't many colors, the thumbnail doesn’t stand out much. Also, the text is hard to read, partly because of the long names. Keep it short and clear, and create a unique background for each person to break up the design. Because right now, the faces blend together because they look similar, but if you ask me, it would be better to create 3 separate, focus points to keep it clear.

IMPORTANT: As I mentioned in our video analysis, it’s important not to approach this niche the same way our competition channel does, because it could lead to problems with monetization. Your video needs to have real value. If it mainly consists of just music and pictures, you’re definitely taking a risk of facing problems. To avoid this, you’ll need to handle the niche differently. To make it as easy as possible for you, I'll let you know how you can do that:
1. Find a good scriptwriter who can write an interesting, engaging script about the shocking causes of death of these porn actresses. You’ll be making a kind of "Top 10" video, but without following that exact format. What I mean is, instead of going from case 10 to case 1, you should use trigger transitions to make it feel like one continuous story. For example:
- But this is nothing compared to what happens next...
- If you thought this was the worst, you’re wrong.
- Just when you thought you heard it all, there’s more...
2. Don’t include too many cases in one video. It’s a missed opportunity to add as many cases as our competition channel does, because you can split those into multiple videos. The key is to make the story and script longer and more detailed, so you don’t need too many cases. For example, aim for 5 or 6 cases instead of a long list.
3. Create a triggering story for each actress. To add more value to the script, it's important to provide more context about each actress and the reasons behind their deaths. Our competitor's channel has a video where they go into much more detail about each person, so I’d recommend checking out that example if you want to get started in this niche.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RA8vBGB7f_8&t=808s
How to find topics?
To find the best topics in this niche, it's important to take a close look at the competition. They cover a wide variety of topics, but one topic that stood out to me was "60 Female Porn Stars Who Died," which has gained over 3M views. So why did this topic perform so well?
What I’ve noticed is that videos about "Porn Stars Who Died" or similar topics tend to do really well on YouTube. So, this could even become a sub-niche you could explore further, and is definitely where I'd focus on in this niche. Because if you see that something works, you need to continue on that. For example:
- OnlyFans models Who Died
- Female Porn stars Who Died
- OnlyFans Stars Who Faced Tragic Endings
- Famous Webcam Models Who Died
- Famous Porn stars Who Faced Tragic Endings
YouTube: On YouTube, I found two other channels where you can see the same pattern our competition uses.

https://www.youtube.com/@BeautifulGirls001/videos
Google: On Google, you can find a lot of topic inspiration. I simply searched for 'porn stars who died' and came up with articles like this:
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls095468644/
Topic:
To create my own topic in this niche, I'd definitely go for a topic about porn stars, because that's where we want to focus on in this niche because we see that it works. The first thing I did was going to Google and search for: porn stars who died. Then, I came out by this article where I got a whole list of porn stars who died in recent years.

How to create your thumbnail
First, I searched for images of porn stars on Google, keeping in mind that they don’t need to have the “typical porn star look.” In fact, it’s better if the women on the thumbnail have a more innocent appearance. Why? Because it creates a stronger shock factor, and it's something you maybe won't expect. I focused on choosing women who look attractive without emphasizing that they’re porn stars. In the end, I decided to blur the last photo to make the viewer even more curious.
Camera Raw Filter in Photoshop
Next, I used the Camera Raw filter in Photoshop to improve the image quality. I used settings like Whiten, Texture, Sharpen, and Exposure. I also made the blurred photo black and white to balance the focus across the thumbnail.
Background
To make the women stand out even more, I added some color. I chose yellow and blue to ensure the women’s faces don’t blend together, making them look like two separate cases. At the top, I added a gradient to improve the overall design and make it pop more.
Finally, I added the text. When using a thumbnail like this, it’s crucial to make the third text something unusual or shocking, something that grabs attention because it’s unexpected. This element creates curiosity and makes viewers more likely to click. To ensure it stands out even more, I chose red for the text since it contrasts sharply with the black-and-white photo. So if you followed all the steps, you're thumbnail will look like this:
