Why this
niche?
In this niche, I found a channel that started only 1 month ago and is already achieving more than 8.5M+ views. That shows us that this audience is huge and because there isn't much competition, the chances of success are high. So if you like to tell fictional stories based on episodes from cartoon characters like Family Guy and SpongeBob SquarePants, then this niche is for you.

Great beginning
'Ever wondered hey one of the characters and Family Guy got charged for their crimes?'
Starting the script with a sentence like this is a great choice because it mirrors exactly what might go through the viewer’s mind after seeing the title. This means they’re delivering what the viewer clicked for, which is one of the most important factors in creating a good video. Always make sure the beginning of your video matches the title to increase the chances of viewers continuing to watch.

Nice voice-over for this niche
This voice-over fits perfectly for this niche. The audience watching these videos likely doesn’t have a long attention span and enjoys being constantly triggered. The rhythm of the voice and its enthusiasm are similar to what you often hear in cartoon series like this. A really great voice-over

Starting with a short clip of Family Guy
The audience clicking on this video will most likely be huge fans of Family Guy because otherwise, they wouldn’t click. Starting the video with a short clip from Family Guy is a perfect choice because it immediately shows them what they love to watch. Even if it’s just a second-long, that doesn’t matter because the first few seconds of your video are the most crucial. That’s when people decide whether to keep watching or not. By combining a strong script, the enthusiasm of the voice-over, and showing real footage from Family Guy, it’s easy to understand why this video has over 2M views.

Nice video editing
Great editing! I see some excellent animations and video effects. I think this style of editing works really well for this audience because the fast-paced cuts and constant action keep things engaging. The more they’re stimulated and triggered, the better.

Speaking the same language as your target audience
I really like what they’re doing here. They mention something the viewer might be thinking while watching this clip, which shows they’re speaking the same language as their target audience. This highlights how important it is for your scriptwriter to have an affinity with cartoon series to create the same effect. I also notice a personal touch in the script here and there, like sharing an opinion, which adds a lot of value for viewers. This is definitely something you can take inspiration from.

This could be better
Don’t get me wrong because the script is actually really good. But sometimes I feel like it’s missing some triggering transitions to the next topic. Take the part at 6:27, for example. They could’ve said something like: "Think that prison sentence was long? Just wait until you hear about the next one...

Great thumbnail, but...
I like that they don’t use too many focus points, just a cartoon character and text. However, the only issue is that you don’t immediately see that he’s in prison. Sure, you can spot some bars on the left, but at a quick glance, it’s not obvious enough if you ask me. I’d suggest adding small details, like giving him an orange prison outfit and making the bars more visible. These little tweaks could make the message clearer. That said, I’m not saying this is a bad thumbnail, because it still achieved 2.1M+ clicks. But I believe adding those small details could make it even better.

Important: If your scriptwriter doesn’t have an affinity for cartoon series, it can be challenging to outperform the competition. I’m not saying they need to know every detail, but it’s definitely easier if you can find someone who understands the basics.
How to find topics?
In this niche, it’s crucial to know which cartoon series perform well and which don’t. If we look at a competitor’s channel, we can see that characters from Family Guy are very popular with this audience. Not just one, but four of their most popular videos focus on Family Guy. That’s definitely something to keep in mind if you’re planning to start in this niche. The key to success is building on what’s proven to work. Of course, you can take risks and try new things, but it's up to you if you want to take those risks.
ChatGPT: If you know how to work with ChatGPT, it can be an option. But, as I said before, it's important that your scriptwriters knows what he's talking about, so that means that you have to create an AI who knows things from the cartoon series. So once you know how to do that, it's definitely possible, but I'd prefer to go for a real scriptwriter here, but that's off course up to you.
YouTube Comment Section: On YouTube, I couldn't find a lot of other channels, so that means that the competition in this niche is low. I found one channel where you can definitely take a lot of topic inspiration from: https://www.youtube.com/@AnimatedCourtroom/videos. Besides, what's very interesting is that people in this niche love to let you know which characters they want to see next. So I'd definitely take a good look on the comment section as well from our competition channel No Villains Are Safe.
Topic:
To create my own topic in this niche, I decided to focus on a character from Family Guy, as these types of topics have proven to be successful. Since I don’t have extensive knowledge about the series, I asked ChatGPT to suggest which characters would be the best fit for this concept. Naturally, names like Stewie, Peter, Brian, and Quagmire came up. However, to avoid completely copying the competition, I kept asking ChatGPT for alternative suggestions, and eventually, it mentioned Chris Griffin.
'While Chris is often portrayed as simple-minded and harmless, he has had moments of bizarre and questionable behavior that could easily be built into a case for sentencing. His blend of obliviousness and occasional creepiness makes for an unexpected but entertaining choice.'
To me, that’s perfect, because it opens the door to using reverse psychology. People wouldn’t typically expect this kind of angle with Chris, as he’s generally perceived as simple-minded and harmless, as ChatGPT mentioned. And that’s exactly what makes this shocking and unexpected, creating the perfect setup for a topic like this.

How to create your thumbnail?
First, I used OpenArt.ai to create an image of Chris Griffin in prison. I immediately noticed that his hair didn’t look quite right, but that’s okay—I’ll fix that later in Photoshop. The most important thing at this stage is having the right background (a prison setting) and making sure Chris is wearing an orange suit. That way, the message I want to convey is clear from the start.
Continue in Photoshop
Then, I went to Photoshop to adjust his hair to look the way viewers are used to, making it easier for them to recognize that it’s Chris Griffin.
Add something shocking & Gradient Overlay
Because I wanted to shock the viewer even more, I tried editing the image through OpenArt.ai to make it look a bit more 'evil.' This is the best I could do on my own, but of course, you could add much more or even have it professionally edited by a thumbnail designer. The key is to make sure you add something shocking to grab attention. Besides, I added some gradient overlay so that the text will stand out better.
Eventually, I added the text *blur* YEARS so that the audience can become more curious and needs to click to find out the answer. If you followed all the steps, your thumbnail will look something like this:

Wrong Calculation
At the end of every video, they calculate all the crimes the cartoon characters have committed. If there’s even a small mistake in that calculation, this audience will definitely point it out.
